Single of the Week

Hello there!!

Welcome one, and welcome all. Although the number is probably closer to one.

Day one in the Obscure Remix house, so what can you expect? Well, slightly cynical, but mostly enthusiastic musings on music, sport, and random current affairs.

To kick things off, i thought i’d share with you my new single of the week.

Welsh seven piece Los Campesinos! are set to release this effortlessly catchy ditty, ‘The International Tweecore Underground’ in early October. Recently signed to Wichita Recordings, you can expect the album early next year. They’re currently working with producer David Newfeld ( of Broken Social Scene fame), they’re previous two singles were pretty snazzy too!

Here’s the vid to get you going. I generally like my music and humour separate, but this one seems to work. Props on the video too( in hiphop speak that means respect, so the kids tell me), it’s pretty funny, unless you take your musicals very seriously, or mid-nineties American punk/hardcore bands.

You can catch these guys on October 2nd in Whelan’s.

It seems the kids are here, and ready to take over.los-camp-pic.jpg
